The Blood Moon Mesa is a masterwork of transformation—an instrument where rare, imperfect woods were not simply repaired, but refined into a piece worthy of display.
Its foundation is a single chambered body of African mahogany, resonant and balanced, crowned with a bookmatched end-grain crotch walnut top. This walnut’s figure is wildly complex and impossible to duplicate. Naturally riddled with cracks and voids, the top was stabilized and framed with sealing resin, turning every flaw into a striking accent. Against the jet-black backdrop, the walnut’s fiery glow evokes the drama of mesas lit under a blood moon—an aesthetic as deliberate as it is arresting.
The appointments elevate the instrument further: pale moon ebony, one of the most rare and valuable woods, was chosen for the neck and fretboard. Instead of concealing its irregularities, they’ve been polished and showcased, giving the guitar a bespoke elegance that feels curated rather than improvised.
The pickup rings, string ferrule bar and serial number plate are all machined from 100% pure brass. It elevates the tone and gives it a demanding, yet extremely clear output.
On the fretboard, a blood-red moon rises over mesa silhouettes, encircled by compass rings—an inlay that fuses artistry with symbolism. It speaks to guidance, resilience, and direction, while grounding the guitar in its Frontier identity.
The cherry on top is the truss rod cover. Made from multiple materials which picture a blood moon rising behind a desert mesa on a starry night.
The Blood Moon Mesa is not a rejection of flawlessness, but a redefinition of it. What was once considered unworkable has been transformed into a guitar of museum-level distinction—a piece that proves true luxury lies in rarity, authenticity, and craftsmanship that turns imperfection into art.
And when you plug it in, the Blood Moon Mesa delivers a voice to match its look: warm, resonant lows along articulate highs. It’s a tone that’s as haunting and raw as the desert at night—powerful, unrefined, and unforgettable.
